YOU CAN BUY AN INK KIT AT WALMART AND IT HAS A NEEDLE YOU CAN USE TO PUT IN INK FROM ONE CARTRIDGE TO ANOTHER. IT ALSO HAS SOME INK JARS WITH IT.

Don’t even try. Maybe you can swap with someone else. Don’t try refilling the old one either unless you are very careful as, if it leaks, you can kiss your printer goodbye. Lexmark will not warrenty a printer if refilled cartridges were used. If you are looking to save a little money you can buy Staples brand (which are refilled as well but Staples stands behind them).

Hp ink is generally too thick for a lexmark. You will have immediate problems with clogging.
If your cartridge has been sitting empty for more than about 30 days there is no point in filling it anyways as the print head has most likely complete dried up. I would recommend that if you have used the cartridge within the past could weeks, you go pick up a $10 refill kit designed for your cartridge, or if it has been longer than that, just replace the cartridge
